What is a Noggin?

A Noggin is a cage-style logic puzzle built around the idea that constraints — not guessing — should lead you to the answer. Every step can be proven. No trial and error needed.

Who is this for?

Noggin puzzles are designed for curious minds of all ages: school children learning logical thinking, math teachers looking for classroom activities, puzzle fans who want something new, and anyone who enjoys a satisfying "aha!" moment.

How to Play

A Noggin puzzle in three steps.

1
Fill the grid

Each row and column must contain every number from 1 up to the grid size — exactly once. Just like Sudoku rows and columns.

2
Respect the cages

Dark outlines group cells into cages. If a cage lists numbers, those exact numbers must appear somewhere inside it.

3
About the dots

The dots (•) give no number clue — they just stand for some unspecified number. In total, there are always exactly as many numbers plus dots as there are squares in the cage.
